Angelic perfection failed in Heaven. Human perfection failed in Eden.

Therefore, all who wish for safe Heaven or earth must look to the Lamb of God - thus the affliction shall not rise up the second time.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Revelation 21:2.

What do ye imagine against the Lord? He will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time. Nahum 1:9.

Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9.

For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited:

I am the Lord; and there is none else.

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.

And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on:

yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

What glorious scene on the new earth is pictured before us?

Isaiah 35:5-10

And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water:

in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads:

they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Question: How is the home of each one described ?

Answer: Isaiah 65:17, 21, 22.

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.

They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat:

for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

Question: In view of these things, what exhortation is given us?

Answer: 2 Peter 3:14.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Conclusion

Christ has regained the kingdom forfeited by sin and redeemed will possess it with Him.

The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein forever. Psalm 37:29.

Moreover, human language is inadequate to describe their reward.

The true Christians joy and consolation must and will be in Heaven. The longing souls of those who have tasted of the powers of the world to come will not be satisfied with earthly things.

Thus in contemplating their treasure - the Holy City, the eternal home and the earth made new - the Heaven will be near to them.
