presented and illustrated His lessons, that the poor minds could understand, while the intelligent were attracted and instructed.
In all His object lessons, Christ brought the mind of man in contact with the Infinite Mind.
He did not direct the people to study one's theories about God. He taught them to behold Him as manifested in nature, His Word, and His providence.
Thus through the creation we become acquainted with the Creator.
The book of nature is a great lesson book, which in connection with the Scriptures we could use in teaching others of Christ's character, and guiding lost sheep back to the fold of God.
Learn of Christ. Have faith in His power to save and transform you.
Lift Him up, making Him the center of all and the source of all power. Thus the truth as it is in Jesus will be effective in converting souls to God.

As the works of God are studied, the Holy Spirit flashes conviction into the mind. It is not the conviction that logical reasoning produces. Unless the:
mind has become dark to know God
eye too dim to see Him
ear too dull to hear His voice
a deeper meaning is grasped, and spiritual truths are impressed on the heart.
For instance, by connecting His teaching with the scenes of life, experience, or nature, Jesus secured disciples' attention and impressed their hearts.
Afterwards, as they looked upon the objects that illustrated His lessons, they recalled the words of the divine Teacher.
