New to Grafted To Grow and not sure were to begin?
The work of judgment precedes the coming of Christ in the clouds of heaven. For when He comes, every case has been decided.
Jesus said: My reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. Revelation 22:12.
It is this work of investigative judgment in the ministration of our High Priest in the most Holy place in Heaven announced in the first angel's message:
Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his Judgment is come. Revelation 14:7.
At the termination of the 2300 days, in 1844, there had been no sanctuary on earth for many centuries. At the death of Christ the typical service ended.
The “true tabernacle” in Heaven is the sanctuary of the new covenant.
Thus the prophecy - Unto two thousand three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
Daniel 8:14, points to the Heavenly Sanctuary.
Remission, or putting away of sin is to be accomplished.
Hebrews 9 teaches of cleansing of both the earthly and the Heavenly Sanctuary.
And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these;
but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. Hebrews 9: 22, 23.
Even the precious blood of Christ. The cleansing, both in the typical and in the real service, must be accomplished with blood.
In the former, with the blood of animals and the latter, with the blood of Christ.
Paul states, as the reason why this cleansing must be performed with blood - without shedding of blood there is no remission.
Remission, or putting away of sin, is the work to be accomplished.
The work of cleansing the soul-temple and preparing for Christ's appearing must be done while we are in this world of temptation.
Just as Christ finds us in character when He comes, so we shall remain.
It involves battle against sin and self. With God's grace we should make daily advancement in building our Christian character.
As we put on the whole armor of God we would grow up unto the full stature of men and women in Christ Jesus.
Moreover, we would become fit temples for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
What does Acts 17:31 say has been appointed?
Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained;
whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
In the days of the apostles was this event past, present, or future?
Acts 24:25
And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time;
when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
What work it is found to be synonymous with the judgment?
The cleansing of the sanctuary
When did the angel tell Daniel that event would begin?
Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
When did the 2300 days end?
Year 1844
What has been the message of "present truth" since 1844?
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come:
and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit..
the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
For what has God prepared His throne? Who will be judged?
But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.
And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.
To whom has the Father committed the work of judgment? Why?
For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son;
And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.
How many of us will be brought into the judgment? What reward will each one receive?
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ;
that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
How many of us will be brought into the judgment? What reward will each one receive?
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ;
that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
What questions does the apostle ask? What reason is given why we should not judge one another?
To whom must every knee bow, and tongue confess? Of whom will each one be called to give account ?
In view of this, what should we not do any more ?
But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.
Who besides humans are reserved to judgment?
For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
Will the judgment occupy time?
I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
What are those doing who judge one another now? When will be the time for judgment?
What will then be brought to light? What will everyone then have?
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness,
and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
When the living and the dead will be judged?
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
How many events are here associated with the judgment?
And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged,
and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great;
and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
What did Christ command His followers to preach to the people?
Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.
And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
According to what will people be judged?
In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
What is the conclusion of the whole matter? What is declared to be the whole duty of man? What will God bring into judgment?
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
What does Acts 17:31 say has been appointed?
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; And in sin did my mother conceive me.

The cleansing of the Heavenly Sanctuary will be accomplished by the removal, or blotting out, of the sins which are there recorded.
Before this can be accomplished, there must be an examination of the books of record to determine who, through repentance of sin, and faith in Christ, are entitled to the benefits of His atonement.
The cleansing of the sanctuary therefore involves a work of investigative judgment. This work must be performed prior to the coming of Christ to redeem his people.
For when he comes, his reward is with him to give to every man according to his works. Revelation 22:12.
Thus those who followed in the light of the prophetic word saw, that, instead of coming to the earth at the termination of the 2300 days in 1844, Christ then entered the most Holy Place of the Heavenly Sanctuary, to perform the closing work of atonement, prior to His coming.
