You Are The Light Of The World - Matthew 5:14 KJV

You are the light of the world.

That light originates in God - the ultimate source of light.

It is His loving, merciful, gracious, righteous, truthful and forgiving character. This is the light of God's glory.

This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. 1 John 1:5.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts,

to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men. John 1:4.

Then spake Jesus again unto them (us today), saying, I am the light of the world:

he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12.

Thus the followers of Christ walk in the light that shines upon them. In thy light shall we see light. Psalm 36:9.

They exemplify the goodness of God revealed in His Word and by His Spirit.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18.

Thus when Jesus abides in our hearts, walking in the path of truth and righteousness, we reflect the rays of His glory.

The light of love

Subprime love to God will produce love to people.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.

But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:7.

Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him (us today), Feed my sheep. John 21:17.

Therefore, let us communicate the light to those who are not acquainted with God's love for them.

The Divine love glowing in the heart will be as a glimpse of Heaven granted to people of the world that they may see and appreciate its excellence.

The light of truth

The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. Psalm 119:130.

It is our privilege to walk in the light of His Word and to grow up to the full stature of men and
women in Christ Jesus.

To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. Isaiah 8:20.

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place,

until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts. 2 Peter 1:19.

The light of eternal life

For with thee is the fountain of life. Psalm 36:9.

When we follow Christ, we don't walk in darkness. Moreover, we have the light for this life and for the eternal life.

He does not compel anyone to believe. He sets light before the people - I am the truth; I have the words of eternal life.

And this is the will of Him that sent Me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:40.

Jesus hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. 2 Timothy 1:10.

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life. John 3:36.

The light of God's Law

When we study the precious truth of Christ's infinite sacrifice on the cross of Calvary, we see a demonstration of God’s redeeming love towards humanity.

Moreover, we see the reason of His death in answering the claims of the eternal and unchangeable Law of God.

Jesus is the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. John 1:29. Thus He magnified and made honorable the Law of Jehovah.

The Son of man stands in the sinner’s place and takes the guilt of the transgressor upon Himself. He became the sinner’s substitute.

Thus the justice, truth, and holiness of Christ, which are approved by the Law of God, form a channel through which mercy may be communicated to the repenting and believing sinners.

The Spirit of God will awaken the conscience and understanding of those who search for truth, bringing the commandments of God to their remembrance.

For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life. Proverbs 6:23.

Conclusion

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:18.

The children of light are scattered among the children of darkness, that the contrast may be seen by all.

Thus the children of God show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9.

Therefore, be prepared for the last great day, going forward with the light you have.

John 3:7 KJV: We Must Be Born Again

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

How can a man be born when he is old? How can these things be? John 3:4, 9.

This new birth is the result of receiving Christ as the Word of God. Moreover, of the Divine truths impressed by the Holy Spirit upon the heart.

The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63.

First John 3:1 KJV: What Manner Of Love Is This?

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.

When we contemplate Jesus' life with all that He went through we can only repeat the exclamation of John:

Herein is love

not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His only begotten Son into the world to be the propitiation for our sins...

Proverbs 3:5 KJV: Trust In The Lord With All Your Heart

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

God is love and He cares for the creatures He has made. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him. Psalm 103:13.

Moreover, Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God. 1 John 3:1.

His hand is stretched out still. Why wait longer?
