Jesus Christ was wounded for humans’ transgression and bruised for our iniquities to the point of death.
He died on the cross of Calvary not from the crucifixion torture alone instigated by Satan and people who had separated themselves from God.
Christ’s heart was broken as the direct result of taking the sin of the entire world as the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6.
Jesus had a ruptured heart as the sin of every individual from Adam down the line of time till His second coming, caused Him an extreme anxiety of being separated from the Father.
He knew how offensive the sin is to God. He was standing before the universe as the greatest criminal, loaded with the oppressive weight of the sins of the entire world.
Thus His life was taken and His blood shed as a ransom for the entire humanity.
He was the Lamb of God slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:8.
Moreover, He is the Messiah, the chosen of God, to be the humankind Sin-bearer, Substitute and personal Savior.
His name is Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins. Matthew 1:21.
Thus Christ who knew no sin, volunteered to be made sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21.
Because of His righteousness, the grave was not able to hold Him. He came out from Joseph’s tomb as a victor over death, sin and Satan.
The Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all

Separation from God, who is the ultimate source of all forms of life, leads to degradation, decay and death.

Therefore, every human being after the fall of Eve and Adam is born with carnal nature - naturally separated from God with a terminal condition.
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Psalm 51:5.
We are all sinners with trespasses from birth or cultivated in life.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans:3:23.
Therefore, the Bible constitutes that The wages of sin is death; Romans 6:23.
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; Ezekiel 18:20.
But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
He was cut off out of the land of the living; For the transgression of my people He was stricken. Isaiah 53:8.
He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:12.
Thus the sin of the entire world broke His heart and He died long before the crucifixion torturous invention killed Him.
John was pointing to Christ being the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
This is He of whom I said, After me cometh a Man which is preferred before me: for He was before me. John 1:29, 30.
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men;
He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:5-8.
He accepted the cap, though His human nature struggled enormously. Jesus said to His disciples:
My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death; Matthew 26:38.
The Son of man wrestled with anxiety and doubts for losing the Fathers presence. He knew how offensive sin is to God.
Christ’s approaching cruel death wasn’t His concern at all. He asked His Father three times the same prayer:
O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Matthew 26:39.
Immediately following that, He addressed His disciples and continued towards fulfillment of His mission as the Savior of humanity.
Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Matthew 26:45.
The Son of Man was lifted up on the cross of Calvary to be seen, known, understood and believed as the only remedy for the sin-sick condition of humanity.
That whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:15.
God allowed Satan to carry his cruel plan to the very end, helped by the fallen angels and his human followers.
Thus Jesus was sentenced to die by civil authority like criminals, instigated by Satan’s instruments.
It was done in the most deceptive and unjust way, because He never violated God’s moral code nor civil laws.

If He wasn’t made the sin Bearer of humanity, He would have died as many others from the long agonizing death.
He became a human substitute, dying to redeem those who accept Him as their Savior.
People could not reason that the sudden death of Christ was from a supernatural cause – as He was loaded by the Father with the sins of the entire world, and died of a ruptured heart.

Thus the blood of Jesus Christ God’s Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:7.
It was instigated by Satan and carried out by people who had separated themselves from God.
This was his last act of cruelty, hoping to see Jesus using His Divinity to deliberate Himself.
If this was to happen, humanity would have Satan as their master without a second chance.
To make the death of Christ as shameful as possible, two thieves were crucified with Him, one on each side.
Some who passed by reviled Jesus, wagging their heads as if bowing to a king, and said:
If Thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross. Matthew 27:40.
Satan used the same words to Christ in the wilderness - If Thou be the Son of God.
Likewise also the chief priests mocking Him, with the scribes and elders, said:
He trusted in God; let Him deliver Him now…for He said, I am the Son of God. Matthew 27: 41, 43.
But the Son of God didn’t use His Divine power. Thus Satan’s hope to break up the plan of salvation didn’t come true.
Jesus submitted to be crucified and voluntarily went through all that to give back eternal life to humanity.
Our acceptance with God is sure only through His beloved Son. Jesus accomplished the wonderful plan of redemption.
He united fallen and finite individuals with the holy and infinite God.
The plan of salvation was not conceived after the fall of humankind.
It was the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God,
made known to all nations for the obedience of faith. Romans 16:25, 26.
Christ did long to save us - for while we were yet sinners (not waiting for us to make ourselves good), Christ died for us. Romans 5:8.
He trusted the Father completely, though in His humanity He was not able to see through this.
Nevertheless, He endured the cross for the joy that was set before Him (to be with everyone who accepts Him by faith as one’s personal Savior), despising the shame. Hebrews 12:2.
He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many;
for he shall bear their iniquities. Isaiah 53:11.
Yet, He will have many descendants. When the Seed died, He gave a new life to many.
He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he opined not his mouth. Isaiah 53:7.
Jesus died on the cross of Calvary as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
Human transgressions wounded and bruised Him and His death from a broken heart was as God has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Christ died on the cross not from the crucifixion torture alone initiated by Satan and earthly authorities.
He voluntarily submitted to be crucified, though He didn't die from this inhuman and evil way of punishment.
Jesus trusted the Father completely, even to the point of death, though He struggled in His humanity and was not able to see through that.
Nevertheless, He didn’t use His Divine power to free Himself and avoid death sentence.
Thus Christ accomplished humankind redemption by giving up His life as ransom for the sin of the world.
