New to Grafted To Grow and not sure were to begin?
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
True followers of Christ are ever to keep Him in mind as their example and walk in His footsteps.
They must give up self - pride, confidence and sufficiency as beholding the meek and lowly One.
For our sins He was wounded, bruised, smitten and afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth when brought as a lamb to the slaughter. Isaiah 53:5-7.
Therefore what we need is the Spirit of Jesus and He asks us:
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matthew 11:29.
The Author And Finisher Of Our Faith
Thus by beholding His amazing love and character we become changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18.
Moreover, the faith in Christ will actuate the right spirit and motive in His followers, and heavenly goodness and mind set will proceed from them.
They will put way their former pride, self-esteem, self-righteousness and unbelief as a worthless burden, and walk humbly, meekly, trustfully, before God.
Therefore, feed on Christ, who is the bread of life, and you will manifest His loveliness of character and Spirit.
I have set the Lord always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. Psalm 16:8.
