Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
The law of self-renouncing love is the law of life for earth and heaven. It is demonstrated on the cross of Calvary.
He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; Isaiah 53:5.
Moreover, Christ's cross reveals that:
the love which seeketh not her own has its source in the heart of God;
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.
For the Father Himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. John 16:27.
Love worketh no ill to his neighbour.
and that in the meek and lowly One is manifested the character of Him who dwelleth in the light which no man can approach unto. 1 Timothy 6:16.
I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee:
The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth;
Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin; Exodus 33:19, Exodus 34:6, 7.
Therefore, if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely,
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Romans 13:9.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
The cross of Calvary reveals the love of God towards humanity. It is His love that draws us to Himself.
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all unto me. John 12:32.
For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
God gave His only-begotten Son to the fallen world – becoming one of the human family, forever to retain His human nature.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder; Isaiah 9:6.
Christ in His death is the revelation of the reconciliation between God and humans. The only begotten Son of God voluntarily met the claims of God’s violated Law.
He took humans’ sins of all time upon Himself and became our Substitute.
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men... Philippians 2:6.
