The Mighty Savior: Uniting His Divinity With Humanity

Our Mighty Savior Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Son of men. In Him Divinity and humanity are combined.

He is our Creator and sustainer of life, and humankind Law Giver. Moreover, He is Emmanuel - God with us.

The Majesty of Heaven took humanity so that He might reach humanity -

She shall bring forth a Son, thou shalt call His name Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins. Matthew 1:21.

The incarnated Son of God is the world's sin Bearer and our Substitute.

Thus He became the ultimate Savior of each and everyone who accepts Him as such from Adam down the timeline to His second advent.

He is the Lamb of God - the infinite sacrifice who is able to save unto the uttermost all that come unto God by Him. Hebrews 7:25.

Yhe Mighty Savior.

All flesh shall know that I the Lord Am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer

Christ gained the victory over that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world. Revelation 13:9.

He humbled Himself even to the death of the cross, so that humans might be exalted to a seat with Him upon His throne.

Christ came to our sinful world to:

The Saviour of the world

All flesh shall know that I the Lord Am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. Isaiah 49:26.

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:11.

Moreover, And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. 1 John 4:14.

This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; Matthew 15:5

Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Acts 4:12.

Therefore do not be deceived, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness. Ephesians 4:14.

Neither human, nor angel could atone or mediate to humankind salvation.

Jesus is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 13:8.

God hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace,

which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began;

But is now made manifest by the appearance of our Saviour Jesus Christ,

who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. 2 Timothy 1:9, 10.

Equal with the Father

Therefore the Jews sought the most to kill Him, because He not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was His Father, making Himself equal with God.

Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He seeth the Father do:

for what things soever He doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. John 5:18, 19.

I and my Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him. John 10:30, 31.

For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

Jesus answered: Say ye of Him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemy; because I said, I Am the Son of God? John 10:33, 36.

For in Him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily and He is the head of all principality and power; Colossians 2:9, 10.

Therefore, beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Colossians 2:8.

In Him divinity and humanity are combined

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder:

and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6.

This was what gave efficacy to the offering on Calvary's cross. At the cross - mercy and truth met together.

God is love. His love and mercy has no parallel.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,

but have everlasting life… that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16, 17.

Furthermore, God’s justice and His Law of governing the whole universe demonstrates even more His love.

Thy law is the truth; Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne. Psalm 119:142, 89:14.

God is love and His Law is love - a transcript of His own character and will. Love is the fulfillment of the law. Romans 3:10.

Therefore, He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God. Micah 6:8.

Self-sacrificing love

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:5-8.

Thus the dearest price has been paid and the greatest sacrifice offered for the human’s redemption.

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23.

Thus God justifies us freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus;

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood. Romans 3:24, 25.

Moreover, Thus we are redeemed with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 1 Peter 1:19.

Therefore, we depend solely upon the merits of the crucified and risen Savior and His atonement.

Moreover, we understand the Gospel that Christ taught by realizing that the cross is the center of hope for humanity.

Righteousness and peace kissed each other

As the sinners realize that the Saviour dying on Calvary is Divine, they ask - why such a great sacrifice was made?

The cross points to the holy Law of God, which has been transgressed. The death of Christ is an unanswerable argument to the immutability and righteousness of the law.

He (Christ) will magnify the law, and make it honorable. Isaiah 42:21.

The law points out our shortcomings, that we may realize our need of One who is mighty to save.

Moreover, One who could become their substitute, assurance of salvation and righteousness by accepting Jesus as their personal Savior.

Christ meets the needs of every sinner.

He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

He was oppressed, and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth:

He is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth. Isaiah 53:5-7.

Therefore, God will provide to us His needed grace that we may take the cup of salvation and become heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ.

Who is this Son of man?

Daniel spoke of Christ as the Son of Man who came to the Ancient of days foreseeing it in a night vision.

Behold, One like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him.

And there was given Him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him:

His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. Daniel 7:13, 14.

On many occasions Christ called Himself the Son of Man who:

He was lifted up

We have heard out of 6the law that Christ abideth forever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of man?

If I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all unto Me. This He (Jesus) said, signifying what death He should die. John 12:32-34.

Moreover, As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:14-17.

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood,

to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. Romans 3:25.

Thus The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:7.

The Son of man has been lifted up on the cross. Thus everyone who has been deceived and bitten by the old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan - may look and live.

Therefore, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. John 1:29.

Through faith in His blood

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

To declare, I say, at this time His righteousness: that He might be just, and the justifier of one which believeth in Jesus. Romans 3:23-26.

The Law of God is changeless as His character and will. So, how do we see the justice of God in the redemption of humans?

The penalty of the law (severing the connection with the Source of life) fell upon Him who is equal with God.

Therefore, humans are free to accept the righteousness of Christ - the holy life He lived and the perfect character He developed as a human. This is the same righteousness that the law requires.

Moreover, with His grace He builds up the human character after the pattern of the divine character - a spiritual strength and beauty.

According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness,

that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:3, 4.

Thus:

Therefore, Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Galatians 6:7, 8.

Conclusion

We love Him and Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. Titus 2:13.

Therefore Grow in grace, and in the knowledge of Him. To Him be glory both now and forever. Amen. 2 Peter 3:18.
