New to Grafted To Grow and not sure were to begin?
The science of sciences mortals can study is the Science of Salvation - receiving the light directly from Heaven.
And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3.
The cross of Calvary is eternal life to all who believe - the science by which a heart polluted with sin may be made pure and holy.
God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,Â
by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. Galatians 6:14.
It is the holy Word of God, which is able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:15.Â
The entrance of Thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. Psalm 119:130.
On the other hand, a finite wisdom can not explain the wonderful plan of redemption and Christ’s atonement.
It is a mystery that:
One equal with the eternal Father humbled Himself to suffer the cruel death of the cross to ransom humanity
God so loved the world as to permit His Son to make this great sacrifice and appointed His Spirit to be the human's teacher and continual guide
as revealed by the voice of God to your soul.
Therefore, those who consult the Divine oracle will have light.Â
Here must begin that study which shall be the science and the song of the redeemed through all eternity.
They bring to view knowledge and instructions of a higher life gained with the aid of the Holy Spirit.Â
Every branch of knowledge may be found by searching the Word of God.Â
And above all else, it contains the science of all sciences - the science of salvation.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;Â
that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
The Bible defines the whole duty of humans.
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13.
Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.Â
Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Matthew 22:37, 39.
Furthermore, it reveals the will of God and the plan of our salvation.
All are given the opportunity to learn that the gift of eternal life is promised on the condition of saving faith in Christ.
Moreover, the drawing power of the Holy Spirit works as an agent of human's salvation.
The Bible contains the science of salvation for all those who will hear and do the words of Christ.
Therefore, search the Scriptures and learn about the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent.
All truth was in Christ, and of Christ. For He was one with God.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. In Him was life;Â
and the life was the light of men. John 1:1, 4.
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God; Philippians 2:6.
Who, being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power,Â
when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Hebrews 1:3.
To us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in Him;Â
and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by Him. 1 Corinthians 8:6.
The teachings of humans are not able to make us perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy 3:17.
We must have implicit trust in God's Word.Â
For God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth. 2 Thessalonians 2:13.
What we need is a strong faith in Christ and His Divine grace.
Thus we become laborers together with God working out our own salvation with fear and trembling and for the salvation of others.
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,Â
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:14-16.
Furthermore, to testify from a sense of thorough conviction of the:
immutable character of the Law of God manifested by the death of Christ on the cross
righteousness of God in justifying the believers in Jesus on condition of their future obedience to the statutes of God's government in Heaven and earth.
It transforms humans into the image of God under the control of the higher powers of the mind.
Furthermore, making their possessors children of God and heirs of Heaven.Â
It brings them into communion with the Infinite mind.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:6-8, 13.
This is the knowledge that is obtained by searching and obeying the Word of God.
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:1-5.
Therefore, study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,Â
rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15.
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning,Â
that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4.
No one is left in darkness as to that which God approves or disapproves of.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Mark 8:36, 37.
The natural world is a lesson book reflecting the Divine truth as revealed in the Holy Writ.Â
It works in connection with the Scriptures guiding the lost sheep back to the fold of God.
In studying God's creation, the Holy Spirit flashes conviction into the mind.Â
Thus impressing on the heart spiritual truths of the written Word.
This conviction is different from the one that comes from logical reasoning alone.Â
A deeper meaning is grasped unless the:
mind has become too dark to know God
eye too dim to see Him
ear too dull to hear His voice.
The whole natural world is designed to be an interpreter of the things of God.
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Psalms 19:1-3.
He hath made the earth by His power, He hath established the world by His wisdom,Â
and hath stretched out the heavens by His discretion.
When He uttereth His voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens,Â
and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth;Â
He maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of His treasures. Jeremiah 10:12, 13.
Who hath directed the Spirit of the Lord, or being His counselor hath taught Him?
With whom took He counsel, and who instructed Him, and taught Him in the path of judgment,Â
and taught Him knowledge, and shewed to Him the way of understanding? Isaiah 40:13, 14.
Therefore, nature is God's servant, directed as He pleases.Â
It is not by an original power inherent in nature that year by year the earth yields its bounties and revolves around the sun.
Moreover, it works according to His will.
Furthermore, all things - material or spiritual came into existence by the breath of His mouth - at His voice and created for His own purpose.
Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God,
so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. Hebrews 11:3.
By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. Psalms 33:6.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.
In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.
He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.
He came unto His own, and His own received Him not.
But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:1-4, 10-13.
We'll be changed in mind and heart, and into the Christ image by beholding His life constantly.
We all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord,Â
are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18.
Thus in the gift of His Son God has made provision that our inward lives may be imbued with the principles of Heaven.Â
It is the appropriation of this provision that will lead to a manifestation of Christ to the world.
Furthermore, to a manifestation of the power of His grace imparted to us in becoming partakers of the divine nature, and overcoming the corruptions that are in the world through lust.
Therefore, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,Â
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16, 17.
The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us. John 1:14.
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder;Â
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6.
Christ revealed that God is love in carrying out the plan of salvation.
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness;Â
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels,Â
preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 1 Timothy 3:16.
Furthermore, He was made in the likeness of sinful flesh and became sin for us,Â
that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Romans 8:3; 2 Corinthians 5:21.
We recognize God in the character of His Son. The Holy Spirit takes the truth concerning God and Him whom He hath sent, and sets it home in our hearts.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us,Â
and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:10.
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts,Â
to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6.
He bowed down in humility, that in His exaltation to the throne of God, He might also exalt those who believe in Him to be with Him upon His throne.
Christ came to live out Heaven in the midst of humanity, so that we might learn what it is to have Heaven in the heart.
He demonstrated what a human must be to be worthy of the precious benefit - the life that measures with the life of God.
Thus He is our only hope. He is the Anointed Priest who has ascended on high.Â
Moreover, He is the One that ever lives to make intercession for every individual soul.
Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him,Â
seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25.
The knowledge of science is a power.Â
How much more it is true for the knowledge which Jesus in person came to impart to the world.
The light of His truth reaches the uttermost parts of the earth.
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations;Â
and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:14.
Therefore, the acceptance or rejection of the message of God involves the eternal destiny of all.
No one else, but the Son of God alone can illuminate the soul.
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; Romans 1:16.Â
Who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel; 2 Timothy 1:10.
We behold the glory of God and the wonders of His salvation in Christ’s:
incarnation and blending of the Divine and human
miracles and teachings
sufferings, betrayal and mockery
trial, sacrifice and death by crucifixion
resurrection, ascension, triumph and priesthood.
Science and philosophy are not able to explain Christ’s atonement.Â
It will ever remain a mystery that the most profound reason cannot fathom.
It is a mystery that:
One equal with the eternal Father should so abase Himself as to suffer the cruel death of the cross to ransom humans
God so loved the world as to permit His Son to make this great sacrifice.
If it can be explained by finite wisdom, it would lose its sacredness and dignity.
Thus Christ will be the science and the song of the redeemed for eternity.
Furthermore, as the revelation of God's love to humans, the Gospel means everything that is essential to the happiness and well-being of humanity.
Therefore, it is Satan's special object to crowd it out of sight and mind and destroy those for whom Christ died.
The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not,Â
lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 2 Corinthians 4:4.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8.Â
Christ came to this world in the form of humanity to live the Law of God and to be the Gospel of salvation, satisfying every specification of the Law.
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. Matthew 5:17.
God's Law condemns sin and points to the Gospel, revealing Christ as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. John 1:29.
On the other hand, the Gospel of Christ’s grace calls people to repentance of sin.Â
Sin is the transgression of the Law. 1 John 3:4.
I had not known sin, but by the law. Romans 7:7.
Moreover, By the law is the knowledge of sin. Romans 3:20.
The sense of sin brings us to the Savior. Therefore, in our need we may present the mighty arguments of the cross of Calvary, claiming the righteousness of Christ.
In Christ mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. Psalm 85:10.
Therefore, we must exercise repentance toward God for the transgression of His Law, and faith in Christ - our atoning sacrifice.
Furthermore, God's requirement under grace is just the same He made in Eden - perfect obedience to His law.
Therefore, the Gospel of good news is not to be interpreted as allowing people to live in continuous rebellion against God.
Law and Gospel principles are exemplified in the life of Christ.
The greatest evidence of the sincerity of our professed adherence to God's Law and our profession of allegiance to our Redeemer is unselfish, self-sacrificing love for our fellow men.
Thus in the lives of those who obey God's commandments, the world sees convincing evidence that the Law of God is a law of love to God and people.
The example of Christ is before us. Like so we are ever to keep the Law and the Gospel closely connected.
The Holy Spirit presents Christ to all - His salvation and His pure, spotless righteousness.
Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself;Â
but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall he speak: and He will shew you things to come.
He shall glorify Me: for He shall receive of Mine, and shall shew it unto you. John 16:13, 14.
The Spirit of truth is the only effectual teacher of Divine truth.
Thus you are in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption;
That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:30, 31.
Therefore, we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord,Â
are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
So, here is the Father’s love towards humanity expressed - giving His Son to die for us and appointing His Spirit to be humans’ teacher and continual guide.
O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known Thee, and these have known that Thou hast sent me.
And I have declared unto them Thy name, and will declare it;Â
that the love wherewith Thou hast loved Me may be in them, and I in them. John 17:25, 26.
For the Father Himself loveth you, because ye have loved Me,Â
and have believed that I came out from God. John 16:27.
He would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge,Â
that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:16, 17, 19.
We must know God, and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent.Â
This knowledge is the science of salvation.Â
It gives to all who appreciate that:
an inheritance among the sanctified
crowns that fade not away
a life that measures with the life of God.
Therefore, let us make our earnest study and greatest joy to be the wonderful truth of salvation through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
