Why Must We Come To Jesus Just As We Are?

For the joy of receiving back humanity He endured the cross. We are the purchase of His blood. 

Jesus loves to have us come to Him, just as we are - sinful, helpless, dependent.

He knows by experience what are the weaknesses of humanity, what are our wants, and where lies the strength of our temptations.

For He was in all points tempted like we are, yet without sin.

Do you expect to become better through your own efforts? Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? 

Then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil. Jeremiah 13:23.

Therefore, if you sense your need and see your sinfulness - do not wait to make yourself better, thinking that you are not good enough to come to Christ. 

There is help for us only in God. Therefore, we must not wait for better opportunities. We can do nothing of ourselves.

Therefore, make known your case before the Lord. Cast your burdens upon the Burden Bearer. He invites you - Come unto Me.
